Holy.... You guys heard what happened right?

Okay, this is VERY OFF TOPIC! Feel free to yell at me later for it.

You all heard what happened in New York and at the Pentagon right?

DAMN It's JFK all over again.

So where were you? (Hopefully not hurt.)
I was at school. In the Internet Cafe, surfing, reading fics mostly, when one of the staff came in and told us that the campus was being shut down. We asked why, I thought it might of been the weather, and they told us.

"Two planes crashed into the Wold Trade Center and it fell, and a plane crashed into the Pentagon."

So I went down 7 flights of escalators, and decided to call home and get a ride home. No answer. After some messing around and cursing of the pay phone, I got through to the high school where my mom works. I just told the lady who I wanted and she put me through, mostly cause I had tried to collect call about 2 minutes before.

I get my mom's room and student answers. I tell her who I am and tell her to get my mom, NOW. My mom gets on and I proceed to break down and freak a little. (I was fine until I heard her voice.) She calms me down and says she'll be there ASAP, she's gotta get someone to cover her class. At about 11:15, she shows up and now I'm at her school, writting this. (And breaking the dress code the entire time. smile

)

Yes, I defenitely heard. I live halfway around the globe, but the shockwaves are felt right here. The army is on alert, the streets are full of police and there is nothing else on tv. And I log into my computer because I just can't watch it anymore.
Thanks to the internet the horrible news hit us just half an hour after it happened, but I still don't believe it.
I think I should condole and wish strength to all Americans on behalf of the Belgian people. Damn this sucks frown

i got very shocked!!! i know i'm in another country but it was very.. OH MY GOD!!!!, i was speachleess, i was trying to get up of my bed (or my hamaca, because i spleep in one of those) and i turn on the TV and i watch that the news in the very moment when the second plane was crashin into the second tower!!!!!!!!!!!! what a trageddy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still here at school. Watching mom with her classes. I think teaching is pertty much shot for today. The highway on the way here was dead. That never happens. It did today, almost no one on the road. One of the school districts here has all ready shut down, and the airport too, according to the news. (No planes anywhere.) Makes me wonder if mom's school is gonna be closed.

was right in the middle of posting here when i flip on the PIP and on the news saying that the WTC had been hit twice...everythings closed here,malls schools federal buildings.......

All that I ask is a small prayer for those who have fallen or who are trapped,wounded and afraid and a moment of sympathy for those who were left behind.
Kurt would ask no less.
It is good to know that I am among good people all over this beautiful world.

I heard about it this morning, coming into work. (the mall closed at 1.) Unbelievable.
I was in shock all day. Thank God my sister went to Washington last weekend instead of this. But my parents are in New Hampshire, and I haven't heard from them! Not that I think New Hampshire is going to be attacked, but not knowing scares me.
I wrote a poem about it, but I'll post it in a separate thread.
